Attract More Clients Easily Episode 128 (AMCE 128)
This week, I want to share a book I read while traveling to Nepal that I found to be quite the insightful revelation on the power of intention.
The Intention Experiment: Using Your Thoughts to Change Your Life and the World by Lynne McTaggart is a powerful book.
I caught wind of this book when I was on a teleseminar where the guest was a billionaire and he was explaining how important mindset was in business. I have a lot of respect for what this successful entrepreneur has done in his business and how he’s managed to create the most successful IPO in Canadian history, so I felt that reading books he reads would be one step closer to adopting that winner’s mindset!
Most books on intention are more metaphysical and “woo-woo” in nature! By woo-woo, I mean that the author writes base on experience and there’s not always any real solid data backing the content.
Lynne McTaggart made the commitment to reach out to the world of science and collect as much data as she could on how our thoughts created our world.
The interesting thing is that she interviewed hardcore medical experts, traditional doctors, doctors who were also healers, monks, priests, Qigong experts, Hypnotherapists, long time meditators, athletic coaches and a long list of experts who know that it all starts in the mind.
I want to point out one important thing and that’s the book if full of data (I mean full) and sometimes, it can be quite challenging to read, but there are treasures hidden among all that data and that’s why I feel so strongly about sharing it with you.
At times the data was overwhelming, but I kept reading and found incredible information on the power of the mind and the power of daily meditation.
I have been a serious meditator for 3 years and then stopped. I’ve come back to the practice and my trip to Nepal and this book renewed my belief in meditation!
If you’ve read this book in the past, I’d love to hear from you! Leave a comment below!
Have a great week and I’ll see you next week!
